Consultations
What can I expect from my first appointment?
Your first appointment will be a friendly consultation with Dr. Kruger to discuss your vascular & endovascular needs. From there, Dr. Kruger will discuss with you the best way to move forward.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
You can bring your X-Ray results, and any extra information provided to you by your GP, to your first appointment.
Can I eat or drink before my consultation?
Yes, all first consultations are discussion only. You will be notified of any pre-consultation requirements prior to the consultation.
Should I bring someone with me to my appointment?
You do not have to bring someone, but some patients do for comfort.
Where are you located?
Dr. Kruger offers consultations at Greenslopes, Sunnybank, Ipswich and Rockhampton.
Surgery
What hospitals do you perform surgery in?
Dr. Kruger performs surgery at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
What can I expect after my surgery?
Dr. Kruger will consult with you in private on what will happen post-op and any side-effects you should expect. For a general idea of what may happen, please view our post-op information sheet.
Will I need surgery?
All patients and their situations are unique. During your first consultation, Dr. Kruger will discuss with you the best course of action for you.
Payment
What are your fees?
Our fees are dependant on what course of action is required. For a comprehensive discussion of your fees and payment options, please contact us.
Can I use Medicare?
Yes, we accept Medicare and are able to send your claims directly to Medicare at our Greenslopes Practice (provided you have registered your bank account details with Medicare). Please note you will need to present your Medicare Card upon arrival for this option, and full payment is required on the day.
Can I use private healthcare?
Yes we accept private health insurance. We recommend checking with your provider to ensure you are covered, as we do not have the legal facilities to find out on your behalf.
Do I need private healthcare?
No, private healthcare is not required. Dr Kruger can place uninsured patients on an intermediate waiting list at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
